Merlin

It’s been a while since Merlin ended, but I feel like a throwback.  I used to love Merlin.  I caught up with all four seasons last summer and then watched the 5th and last season as it came out.  I wished it had been longer honestly, it was such a good show.  True, it had its faults, but what show doesn’t?  In the end the characters and the acting make-up for whatever awkward writing or camera work there was.

Person of Interest

So this week, we have come upon Person of Interest (ahhhh I’m actually running out of tv shows….how is that possible?  It’s okay, I still have k-dramas and c-dramas to talk about.)  I’m not sure what to say of Person of Interest other than the fact that I can’t wait for the new season to come out.  I actually really like it even though I’ve mostly moved past crime shows.

Franklin & Bash

Words cannot describe how much I love this show.  I really do, though it’s a different type of love from my other shows.  I don’t know how to describe it.  It’s just so different from all the other lawyer shows out there.  Basically, it’s about two lawyer bffs joining a prestigious law firm and managing to keep their personalities.  The characters are all on point, bringing unending humor to a normally dull and serious work place.  The antics that they get away with is impossible, but watching, you can’t help but wish it was all real.  That would make jury duty a lot more interesting.

LA Vaca Day 2

We woke up early on the second day.  Day two was Little Tokyo and ticket pick-up for Anime Expo.

We didn’t eat breakfast when we woke up.  Instead, we figured out how to get to Little Tokyo and ate there.  I have to admit, Little Tokyo was one of my favorite places out of all the trips.  Like Chinatown, they have Japanese styled buildings in a plaza.  There, they had multiple restaurants, cafes and store.  It was much busier than Chinatown.  We ate at the first place we came across and it was really good.  Afterwards, we walked around.  There was a really cute macaroon shop and we bought a few to try.  Right across was one of those cute Asian stores.  My friend ended up buying a bento box.  I had to walk away from the stuffed animals.

Who Do I Look Up To?

I’m not much for admiring people.  After all, we are all humans with infinite flaws and admiring would be putting someone on a pedestal which is a very dangerous thing to do.  A pedestal means that you’re more likely to forgive them for transgressions and to judge them on a totally different scale.  Of course, this scale is both good and bad.  While it means they can get away with more of certain things, it also means they have a strict criteria they have to keep to lest they get turned against.  This is especially evident when people admire artists, singers, writers, and various other people that deal with public media.  The general consensus always seems to be “it wasn’t as good as the first one”.

Hustle

I’ve been watching a show called “Hustle” lately.  It’s a BBC show (figures) and I actually quite like it.  If you’ve ever watched TNT’s “Leverage”, it’s basically like that except they’re British, it’s a bit more humorous, and there is no fourth wall at all.  If you like thieves and have nothing to watch, check it out.  It has 8 seasons, but there are only 6 episodes per season.  Not that bad.  I’m on season 6 right now.
