About Freely

There's not much to say. Anything you want to know about my personality, you can surmise by the things I post here. I have various of interests that seem to have nothing to do with one another. The most important thing about me, I think, is that I like to create. Whether it's by words, or by brushes, or by fabric, there is nothing more exhilarating that creating something new and ultimately mine. So come along with me on this journey and let's see what surprises we can unveil along the way.

Merlin

It’s been a while since Merlin ended, but I feel like a throwback.  I used to love Merlin.  I caught up with all four seasons last summer and then watched the 5th and last season as it came out.  I wished it had been longer honestly, it was such a good show.  True, it had its faults, but what show doesn’t?  In the end the characters and the acting make-up for whatever awkward writing or camera work there was.

New Obsession

So what have I been doing lately?  Not that much.  School has started again, but that’s hardly what I want to talk about and that’s hardly what you want to hear about.  So what else have I been up to?   Well, let me tell you.  I have discovered Youtube.

Person of Interest

So this week, we have come upon Person of Interest (ahhhh I’m actually running out of tv shows….how is that possible?  It’s okay, I still have k-dramas and c-dramas to talk about.)  I’m not sure what to say of Person of Interest other than the fact that I can’t wait for the new season to come out.  I actually really like it even though I’ve mostly moved past crime shows.

Franklin & Bash

Words cannot describe how much I love this show.  I really do, though it’s a different type of love from my other shows.  I don’t know how to describe it.  It’s just so different from all the other lawyer shows out there.  Basically, it’s about two lawyer bffs joining a prestigious law firm and managing to keep their personalities.  The characters are all on point, bringing unending humor to a normally dull and serious work place.  The antics that they get away with is impossible, but watching, you can’t help but wish it was all real.  That would make jury duty a lot more interesting.

Suits

Today, we are going to talk about one of my all time favorite show.  SUITS!  God do I love that show and I know I really shouldn’t!  Still, I can’t stop and it is utterly perfected and am getting excited just thinking about it…and exasperated.  Harvey and Mike tend to do that to you.

Anyway, a summery.  Suits is a show about lawyers.  Harvey is a senior partner is a high profile law firm.  Mike is a college dropout with eidetic memory that takes tests for money.  Anyway, things happen and somehow Harvey ends up hiring Mike because he likes Mike’s spunk (though he won’t admit it) and he sees a bit of himself in the young man.  The only problem is that the law firm only hires graduates from Harvard and Mike did not graduate from college, no less Harvard.  But he fakes it til he makes it and his situation brings an appropriate mix of tension throughout the series.  Other important characters include Donna: Harvey’s secretary, Jessica: the managing partner and Harvey’s boss, Louis: another partner that is Harvey’s frenemy, and Rachel: Mike’s love interest.

Chuck

It’s like I start a new show every week.  I don’t, really, I don’t.  I just talk about a new show every week.  This week is Chuck.  Chuck ended last year, but I’ve only just decided to pick it.  I was watching Nerd HQ videos from SDCC and I decided that I quite liked Zachary Levi.  Seeing as he’s most famously known for Chuck, I decided to check it out.  It really is a good show.

Fringe

Recently, I have started watching Fringe.  (I swear, I feel like I just keep starting new shows.  I don’t know how I even get anything done.)  I must say, I do not know why I haven’t started it earlier.  It’s everything a nerd like me could ever want in a TV show!  Okay, maybe not everything, but a good amount.

So what’s this shows about?  In essence, it’s a procedural drama.  A crime happens and they have to catch the bad guy.  The difference is, all the crimes are sci-fi related!  Isn’t that awesome!  So the show starts off with this really bizarre biological crime that happens on a plane.  We’re introduced to the main character, Agent Olivia Dunham (whose accent I spotted a mile away).  In order to solve this crime, she has to consult a scientist that used to work in Harvard.  He also worked on various projects for the government.

Favorite Moments from SDCC (Which I Didn’t Go To)

So as you may or may not know, San Diego Comic Con happened this past weekend and it was PHENOMENAL.  This has got to be the best Comic Con in years.  The news just kept coming non-stop.  Everywhere you looked, there was something new being revealed and showrunners interacting with the fans.  So let’s look at some of my favorite moments of a con I did not go to! (but will, totally will one day because it is epic)

Let’s OTP it up!

Let me get this out of the way by saying it bluntly.  I ship.  I ship like there is no tomorrow.  I think that’s one of the best things about watching shows and reading books.  You get to ship any character you want with any other character you want and it’s never wrong….(though people may tell you it is.  They are lying.  Go ship.  Go ship with all the rainbows and glitter and kittens in the world)  That being said, I think it’s a fantastic time for me to sit here and tell you about all my ships because I love them and I just feel like sharing.

LA Vaca Day 7

Final Day of vacation.

We started off the day by going to Little Tokyo.  We grabbed lunch and then headed to the purikura pictures.  We promised to take them again so we did.  These came out much better.  I keep both sets in my wallet though.  We picked up some last minute stuff and then went back to the hotel.

While we waited for our other friends to arrive, we started packing.  We got most of our things away by the time they picked up up.  Today, we were going to Venice Beach!
